Why We Started
We understand that access to capital is a major barrier to success for most Black business owners.
Currently, less than 2% of capital is invested in Black founders, who have historically been overlooked by traditional VCs. Fewer than 5% of American business owners are Black, and eight out of 10 Black-owned businesses fail in the first 18 months. Black businesses have historically faced an economic detour.
We aim to change that
Black-owned businesses need access to capital and funding more than ever before. So we’re providing it by building a supportive (and free!) ecosystem for Black-owned businesses to thrive in today. Black Capital Foundation is the most comprehensive program for validating, strengthening, and securing no-strings-attached capital for your Black-owned business.
There’s also an incalculable prosperity that comes through creating enduring generational wealth that can shape and secure the fortunes of Black business owners and your children and grandchildren tomorrow. We know that – from an economic perspective – there is power in helping Black-owned businesses become financially stable and independent by investing in your growth.

We Provide Capital In-Kind Instead of Cash
We know firsthand that cash only helps temporarily and that's if you know exactly how (and where) to spend it. Unlike banks and grants, we start by listening to what you’d like to achieve, develop a business strategy to address your area of need, and then secure the resources needed to fix it (at no cost, and with no payback terms from you)
We Partner with You - Collaboratively
and listen to understand where you’re struggling most (and then provide capital-in-kind to directly impact the area of your business that’s holding you back or help launch you to the next level)
